Ever wanted to conquer Hell with your favorite demons? If yes, then External Exodus will be a good fit for you. 

Eternal Exodus is the newest solo-developed, narrative-driven demon-capturing RPG by Fordesoft. Fordesoft’s previous solo-developed and self-published games include Emerald Shores, Super Blackout, and Creature Card Idle. Fordesoft is also hard at work morphing the half-licensed, half-original soundtrack into a 100% original musical score.

The remarkable demon designs and alternative color palette will capture players' attention.

Players begin their adventure when they wake up in the afterlife after dying in the “real world” or First World. Rescuers periodically scour spawning pools for newly deceased people to extract, as staying too long in a spawning pool causes defects and even death. With the discovery of Ether, people of the afterlife can live forever but the supply of Ether is highly controlled. Only time will tell if this world is better or worse than the First World.

Timeskip one year later to the anniversary of your rescue from the spawning pool. You are no longer the village’s blacksmith; you have been promoted to Demon Summoner. The Mayor of the Village grants you a Subjugator, allowing for the recruitment of Demons, and the choice of your first demon: Skullray, a well-balanced demon capable of learning water magic; Toxislug, a high-attack demon that uses earth magic; or Blazimp, a fire-wielding demon with high magic stats.

In battle, players can choose to attack physically, use magic skills, defend, recruit the enemy, or run away. Damaging the enemy will increase your chance of recruiting them, so use the four-demon party wisely. Only one of each kind of demon can be recruited, but players can replace an initial recruit if their attempt to enlist another demon of the same type is successful. This mechanic will come in handy for those who are lucky enough to find an alternative art or shiny demon. At this moment, shiny demons are purely cosmetic. 

Players can also make use of a fusing mechanic that allows them to fuse two demons of different types, creating another whole new demon. The demons that were used in the fusion can be recruited once more. Two Shiny demons can be fused to create another Shiny demon, which is a welcome feature. Utilizing the main character’s blacksmith skills, players can also forge weapons and armor for their demons to increase their offense and defense.

I can’t wait to see the other demons and their alternative art forms while I subjugate the entire world!

Eternal Exodus will be available for purchase on PS4, Steam, Switch, and Xbox during the 4th quarter of 2021. The Kickstarter to fund extra features and future content for Eternal Exodus goes live June 1st. An updated demo will be available sometime in the upcoming months.
